APKT1003 Carbide Milling Insert | APKT 1003 PDTR CNC Milling Insert for Steel & Aluminum

The APKT1003 carbide milling insert mills steel, cast iron, aluminum alloy, copper alloy, non-ferrous metals, and plastic. The carbide substrate reaches HRA 91–93 hardness and resists abrasive wear during continuous cutting. The insert maintains cutting edge integrity under cutting speeds up to 300 m/min for aluminum and 180 m/min for steel, allowing CNC machines to maintain dimensional accuracy during long machining cycles.

Moreover, the cutting geometry directs chips away from the cutting edge and lowers cutting resistance. Additionally, the insert reduces vibration and maintains a smooth surface finish with a surface roughness of Ra 0.8–1.6 μm under recommended cutting conditions.
